Enjoy where you are……
“Enjoy where you are on the way to where you are going”. Such simple but beautiful words! Words that I need to remind myself of on a daily basis. How many of you have got caught up in where you want to be? That everything will be ok when you get there? Getting hung up on how you are not there right now, not living in the present and how life will only be great when we get to that point in the future? By comparing yourself to others who may already be doing what you want to do and it making you feel bad? By doing all this it is so easy to lose sight of how great the present moment is!
I wrote the quote above because it is so easy to appreciate a flower when it is in full bloom! To see how gorgeous it is and to gawp over the colours and vibrancy! It is so easy to forget to notice the flowers that have not yet bloomed, and how beautiful those plants and buds that have not yet bloomed are already. All flowers start life as a seed, in order to grow it takes work, the roots need to grow down and work hard to collect water, to produce a stem, a shoot, a leaf! It is important not to overlook this beautiful moments and jus chase the outcome, to notice the small things changing. Even though at the time it may not seem like much, or to be moving as quickly as you want it to, it is happening, trust it is happening and enjoy that moment!
A small bud may appear on the plant, or a leaf may grow slightly bigger, these are all amazing parts of the process of the flower growing and they cannot be ignored! Always remember to notice how much work it has taken to grow those buds on the plant, rather than just waiting for the flower itself!
Remember it takes time, work, watering, feeding and learning for the flower and to grow! Try to remember to enjoy the process of growth, to notice how like the plant you are changing and growing, do not compare yourself to any other flowers or plants, you are on your own journey in your own soil and always remember that! Be present in YOUR MOMENT and when your roots are deep enough and you have fed yourself enough and you have grown enough and the buds are ready, the flower will bloom and you will be the most beautiful flower, better than you ever would have been should you have bloomed earlier!
Life is precious, we are all individual and on our own journey, do not let life pass you by through always living in the past on the future. Take time to live in your moment, be grateful and grow.
